Safety & Security
In an effort to provide maximum safety for our children and youth, we (the VBMB) will conduct criminal background checks on all adults whom we recruit to minister to/with persons under 18 years of age.
We ask that each church group have one adult who remains on campus during the morning sessions (register as “AE: Adult at Eagle Eyrie”). Having an adult at Eagle Eyrie is particularly important if the church has grade-schoolers on campus. Often cell phones do not work at Eagle Eyrie. We do not anticipate an emergency while at Eagle Eyrie: yet, we wish to be prepared in order to meet the needs of our children in the case of an emergency.
Appropriate Dress
We request that dress be appropriate for camp.
- Length of shorts should be at finger tips when arms are fully extended.
- Width of straps on tops should be at least one inch.
- Tops should cover the chests and backs (please avoid halter tops and tube tops).
- Girls should wear one-piece swimsuits.
- Long pants are required on roofing projects.
- Close-toed shoes are required on construction sites.
Worship
Our worship each night will center around the theme Missions Three:Sixteen, “For God so loved….” Worship will be multigenerational, relevant, interactive, and celebrative. Expect to meet God there!
Preschoolers are welcome in worship, if you desire them to be with you as part of the greater community of faith.
